BODY OF WORK

Jack Olesker began his career in television in 1984.  That year he began writing episodic television for children series.  How many episodes and series did Jack work on?  The short answer is a LOT. More specifically, Olesker has written, produced and directed over twelve hundred episodes of television.

 

  • MUSTARD SEED, From Which Beautiful Things Grow (2019, 24/7 Productions) Wrote Series Bible. In submission at Discovery Channel, TLC. 

  • THE ANIMAL CRACKER (2019, 24/7 Productions) In development.

  • GREAT ESCAPES (2013, 24/7 Productions.)  Wrote Series Bible, based upon Great Wolf Lodge.  NI LAKES (2011, 24/7 Productions & WNIT Public Television) Cretor/Wrote Series Bible.  

  • THE LISA & MAX DEVEREAUX MYSTERIES (2012, 24/7 Productions) Wrote Series Bible based upon Olesker’s bestselling novel, CAST ON, BET’S OFF.  Wrote two-part MOW.  Robby Benson attached to direct.  Casper Van Dien attached in lead role.  

  • JACK & JILL & FRIENDS (24/7 Productions, 2011.)  Wrote Series Bible and Pilot Episode Script, based upon the popular children’s magazine, Jack & Jill.  BUILT (24/7 Productions and The Donna Project, Inc., 2011) Co-wrote Series Bible and Pilot Episode Script.  

  • THE 100 BLACK MEN OF SOUTH BEND: THE POWER OF 100 (WNIT Public Television, 2011.)  Served as Associate Producer for produced PBS documentary.  Emmy nominated.  STORY THYME (24/7 Productions/Metro Productions, 2010.) Creator/wrote Story Bible.  

  • EMPOWERMENT: THE AMAZING GRACE (24/7 Productions/Bartlett-McWeeney/Yeshua International, Ltd., 2009) Wrote script, co-produced documentarty, served as Executive Producer.  

  • JUNKANOO!  (24/7 Productions/Bartlett-McWeeney/Yeshua International, Ltd., 2008)  Co-produced documentary, served as Executive Producer and co-host.  O.R.C.A. Force (24/7 Productions and Blue Seals Productions, 2009) Wrote Series Bible.  

  • HIP HOP FABLES (KEN Creative Studio, 2008) Produced five episodes.  Wrote Series Bible and, produced and voice-directed five episodes.  

  • SIT & KNIT, WITH KIM, JACK & BIRD (24/7 Productions. Inc., WNIT Public Television, 2006) Created series and wrote one-hour produced pilot format for talk show.  Joint venture with WNIT PBS Affiliate.  Executive Producer.  

  • DADDY WON’T SELL THE FARM (24/7 Productions, 2005) Based upon the Montgomery Gentry song.  Created series, wrote Series Bible.

RADIO

 

  • WILD HEARTS — (BOCA Entertainment Ltd., 2000) Created series bible for Country music “soap opera”.  

  • Wrote, directed and produced.  From 1982 – 1983 served as writer for Blanc Communications, wrote over 100 television commercials.  While more recent work has become more varied, Jack still enjoys the chance to positively impact children through writing and creativity.
